SAIMC: Secunda branch

May 2017 SAIMC

Secunda branch made history this year. Our very own Annemarie van Coller has been elected as the first female member to council. Annemarie is currently the area manager of Oxygen West Instrumentation at the Synfuels Operations Plant in Secunda. She is very dedicated and passionate about promoting the C&I field amongst the younger generation, and would love to motivate more women to join the profession. Her election to council will benefit the industry as a whole. We congratulate Annemarie and wish her good luck on serving on the SAIMC council for 2017.

Petrochemical Roadshow at Secunda

The Petrochemical Roadshow was held at the Sasol Club in Secunda on 16 March. It was a great showcase of the industry and highlighted the various products, services and expertise available to the petrochemical, engineering, construction, mining and power industries. The exhibition also included instrumentation and control, health and safety, environmental, mechanical, plant optimisation and many other solutions. The branch manned the SAIMC stand on the day and we received a variety of visitors from across the industry.
