Secunda branch

March 2011 SAIMC

The AGM of the Secunda branch was held on 13 January and the following members were elected to serve: Peter Zietsman, Kobus Reinecke, Fronnie Knoetze, Rickus Kriel, Johan Maritz, Gerhard Swarts, Goodman Ngcobo, Brian Edwards, Dennis Hoffman and Jannie Naude. The contact details will be updated on the website for members who wish to contact the new committee.

In this, the twelfth year of existence of the branch, we would like to contact the founder members to update them on the progress in Secunda. If any member has contact information relating to the committee of 1999, please share this with us. Our contact details can be found on the SAIMC web page.

This year the committee will focus on return on investment for the members. Membership is not just about having a warm and cosy feeling from serving the industry, there must be value associated with membership fees. We will be organising the usual monthly technology evenings as well as field trips to places of interest. We will also be offering incentives to members actively participating in the branch activities, for instance, membership dues for 2012 being paid for the member who attends the most branch activities this year.
