Richards Bay
The Richards Bay branch is planning some great initiatives for 2010. To help with the process, they would welcome feedback from visitors and members about possible site visits, either to your own plant/factory/installation, or suggestions for other interesting venues. If anybody is interested in sponsoring or addressing the monthly technology evenings please contact Donald Pitt (details below). Also do so if you have any specific topics you wish to see covered.
With the help of the SAIMC in Durban and Richards Bay, DUT is encouraging BTech students from Richards Bay to attend evening lectures in Durban during the week. This will help them obtain credits towards their BTech qualification. Obviously the best way to facilitate this is with shared transport, so if anybody is interested in attending the lectures, or if there are any companies who may be in a position to lend financial aid to such an initiative, please contact Donald Pitt, [email protected]. Donald may also be reached on +27 (0)35 786 1853 or +27 (0)83 644 9556.
