Greetings to all other SAIMC branches from the fair city of Cape Town. Take note that the Cape Town Branch is back in business, following our AGM, which was held in May. Chevron kindly hosted us and provided the venue for our first meeting of the year.
We were not allowed to carry a camera on to the premises and unfortunately, the camera provided by Chevron turned up blank when we checked afterwards so, hold your breath till our next meeting! We will then try again with our own camera. Our next meeting will move to a new venue which we will report on later.
The burning question on everyone’s lips is who will serve on the new committee? We will provide details with the next issue of SA&IC.
We already have an events calendar planned for the year and this will soon be available on the SAIMC website. Our first Technology Evening will be on 5 June 2008 and will already have taken place by the time you read this. The speaker will be Ron Smith, Alpret Control Specialists, product manager, and his subjects will be Wireless Technology, Wireless Security and Wireless Networking.
Direct any queries to Bill Steenberg on [email protected] or 083 949 8104.
