Sierra's Vortex flowmeter provides readings of five critical process variables from a single pipeline entry point. It measures the fluid's velocity, temperature and pressure and calculates mass flow rate, volumetric flow rate and density. All of these variables are displayed by the meter and any three can be transmitted by means of 4-20 mA outputs.
The Vortex meter is good for steam but also suitable for most gas and liquid applications. Most frequent uses are for steam generation and distribution management and measurement of actual energy flow into and out of processes. These meters can be used in lines from 25 to 1800 mm.Typical accuracies are 1,5% of mass flow rate over 30:1 turndown range.
