Hazardous area annunciator

August 2008 Operator Interfaces, Switches & Relays

Based on the field-proven 725 series, RTK Instruments’ NEX7250 alarm annunciator is a feature-rich device suitable for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas and designed to Type N standards. Systems are available in a range of sizes and formats from two to 120 windows, in a choice of three different window sizes and six colours. Windows are illuminated by ultra-bright, high reliability LEDs.

As with all RTK annunciators, ASIC technology has been used as part of the design platform to maximise reliability. Multiredundant design techniques have also been employed to ensure no single point of failure.

The standard unit comprises a wall mounting steel enclosure with hinged plexiglass viewing window sealed to IP54. Packaging options include panel mount and stainless steel enclosures.

The NEX7250 is fully field-programmable for all standard ISA sequences, and the units are equipped with dual common alarm and horn relays. Options for RS485 serial communication and individual repeat relays per channel are also available.

RTK Instruments is also able to supply complete alarm systems and assist with a variety of industrial alarm applications.
