The Spirax Sarco LC2500/LP20 provides on or off feed-water pump control with high and low level alarm indication. Level is measured using via the LP20 capacitance probe and appropriate pump switching is performed by the LC2500 control unit. The capacitance probe and preamplifier assembly are powered by the controller and produce a DC voltage proportional to the water level. Switching levels can be set and adjusted without shutting down the boiler and the probe tip is sheathed for insulation eliminating the need for cutting to length. Control and alarm levels are set and adjusted via recessed potentiometers mounted on the front panel. Selectable features include a wave filter for use in turbulent conditions and an out of range alarm. Several controllers may be linked to one probe to provide extra alarms or switching levels if required.
