Magnetic flowmeter has OIML R49 approval

From now on, Optiflux 2300 and 4300 electromagnetic flowmeters have OIML R49 approval. This makes these Krohne instruments suitable for cold drinking water measurement in business dealings. Whereas the Optiflux 2300 is employed predominantly in the water sector, the Optiflux 4300 finds use throughout the process industry. The OIML approval means that users in business dealings applications now also have the opportunity to make good use of the 3 x 100% diagnosis feature that is believed to be unique to Optiflux.

This 3 x 100% diagnosis feature naturally covers the normal device-diagnosis - but Krohne is said to be the first, and to date only, supplier to augment these with 100% standard instrument diagnosis, 100% application diagnosis and 100% out-of-spec diagnosis to verify accuracy and linearity. The user can thus count on reliable information on the state of the device, the accuracy of its measurements and the presence of possible malfunctions. The 3 x 100% diagnosis feature means that Optiflux can achieve considerably higher reliability than most any SIL2-certified device - and also exceeds VDI/VDE/NAMUR-2650 specifications.
