Bronkhorst High-Tech BV, specialists in low flow measurement and control, have introduced a new generation of digital liquid flowmeters/controllers for very low flow ranges. The µ-FLOW Series L01 can measure flow ranges down to 25 to 500 nanolitres per minute and control from 75 to 1500 nanolitres per minute and higher.
The standard material of construction for the sensor is SS316, but alternatively PEEK or fused silica can be offered. The new sensor design features a minimum internal volume of 1,5 to 20 µl (SS316 sensor), depending on flow range. The µ-FLOW is offered with analog I/O-signals, such as 0 to 5 V d.c. or 4 to 20 mA, and digital communication via RS232 as a standard. As an option, an on-board fieldbus interface can be provided eg, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet or Modbus. The instruments are suitable for a variety of applications including laboratory, liquid chromatography (LC/HPLC) and dosage of additives.
