February 2003 Temperature Measurement

The Kobold range of temperature switches are suited to applications where temperature must be monitored with a high degree of accuracy for the purpose of switching pumps, compressors etc

The TDD series integrates solid state sensing technology into a versatile, simple to operate package. Programming features include setpoint, reset point, window mode, dampening, switch logic and user selectable lockout code.

The Pt-100 RTD sensing system and transistor switch offer a long cycle life with virtually no calibration drift. Switching ranges are -20 to +120°C. Sensor accuracy is ±0,5°C (for temperatures in the range 0-70°C). The device also has a 3-digit LED display for local indication of temperature. The measuring probe and housing are constructed of 316 stainless steel providing high corrosion resistance.

Kobold is a world leader in flow, level, pressure and temperature instrumentation, with manufacturing facilities in Germany and USA. Instrotech is the exclusive South African distributor of these products.
