Maintenance-free single gas detector

MSA Africa has launched a new low-cost and maintenance-free single-gas detector, capable of rough handling in tough environments.

Suitable for use in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, construction, utilities and fire-management which require reliable performance in confined spaces, the portable Pulsar Single Gas Detector has a guaranteed two-year service-life and has sensor options for CO, H²0 or O². The instrument is factory-calibrated with a built-in gas delivery adaptor and is totally maintenance-free.

The detector can be worn on a helmet, belt or inside a pocket. The flashing alarm is located at the top of the unit for visibility, while the triple alarm system enhances the user's safety. The audio alarm is loud and cannot be confused with any other workplace sounds while the extended frequency range ensures correct usage, even by individuals who are tone-deaf.

Another feature is the innovative stainless steel sensor, which contains solid electrolyte to eliminate the possibility of leakage. The unit also has a long-life lithium battery that allows two minutes of alarm activation per day.
