SCE awarded sole CMI distributorship in Africa

Supervisory and Control Engineering, a leading system integrator and distributor of proven technology has now obtained the sole distributorship in the whole of Africa for CMI's SCADAPack line of products. These products are used with great success in: water and wastwater systems; oil and gas production; pipelines; irrigation and canal systems; environmental monitoring systems; and remote applications with harsh environmental conditions.

CMI was founded in 1980 and specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of computerised products used in telemetry, scada, remote monitoring and control, and data communication applications. Its products are specially designed for telemetry applications and are supported worldwide through five offices located in: Kanata, Ontario, Canada; Calgary, Alberta, Canada; New Orleans, Louisiana, USA; Los Angeles, California, USA; Houston, Texas, USA. It is now also fully supported from Pretoria.

Founded in 1991, SCE has been involved with a wide variety of successfully implemented engineering solutions for plant automation and process control in various sectors of the industry and specialises in: telemetry applications for water, waste water, oil and gas; water filtration and pumping stations; EMAC energy management; Furncon submerged arc furnaces; plant automation and process control.

The SCADAPack line of products is being used internationally with great success and can only complement SCE's current field of expertise.
