Krohne
To reduce the time and costs of installation, Krohne has launched a new range of two-wire level products which can be quickly and easily integrated into today's intelligent process control systems.
The BM702 is a two-wire noncontact frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) level radar. Compatible with most communication protocols the BM702 can be integrated into digital control systems enabling the computerised mapping of process vessels etc. The two-wire BM702 is good for food processing, chemical, oil refining, petrochemical, minerals and mining applications. It can also measure the level of fluids with low dielectric constants such as organic solvants, benzene, toluene and hydrocarbons and can also accurately measure low tank levels due to its unique tank bottom following function.
The BM102 is an intrinsically safe two-wire time domain reflectometry (TDR) level transmitter offering accurate, repeatable and maintenance free operation when used with a vast range of products. Immune to dust, vapours or steam and independent of density, pressure, temperature, conductivity and product changes, the BM102 has the ability to accurately measure the level of powders and liquids plus making it ideal for applications in the pharmaceutical, food, petrochemical, minerals and mining industries.
It is compatible with PC Star which is a Windows-based programme for remote communications and configuration using HART protocol and is thus able to display all configuration parameters, represent and record all level information in graphical format.

Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring
Data centres are one of the most energy-intensive building types, consuming up to 50 times the energy per floor space compared to a typical commercial office building. With organisations embracing advanced technologies, data centres powering these technologies are under increasing pressure around the globe to increase capacities and improve efficiencies.

Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring
At its peak in 1994, the energy generation capacity of the UK’s nuclear power stations was 12,7 GW across 16 plants. In 2024, the capacity has fallen to around 5 GW, and the number of stations is down to nine. However, this is far from the end of the story as spent nuclear fuel remains radioactive for centuries, and requires rigorous safety processes to safeguard against leaks.
