Honeywell Industry Solutions and WAM Systems have established a multilevel strategic agreement to deliver a unique and comprehensive enterprise solution for the chemical and petrochemical industries.
The solution, called Business.FLEX Value Chain Management, seamlessly integrates production-centric manufacturing solutions from Honeywell with advanced supply chain planning solutions from WAM Systems. By embedding the WAM Systems solutions into its Business.FLEX solutions, Honeywell enables optimised execution and planning of procurement, production, transportation, and distribution for chemical and petrochemical manufacturers.
Business.FLEX Value Chain Management complements Honeywell's overall Business.FLEX family of solutions that enable process manufacturers to improve decision-making and increase plant profitability.
The strategic agreement between Honeywell and WAM takes full advantage of Honeywell's experience in providing automation and business solutions and WAM's supply chain planning expertise within the chemical industry. The combination increases solution depth and breadth, creating a comprehensive solution for the chemical and petrochemical industries.
Business.FLEX Value Chain Management, marketed and supported by Honeywell, fully embeds WAM's Advanced Supply Chain Planning solution within Honeywell's Collaborative Manufacturing software suite and platform for the chemical and petrochemical industries. Honeywell's investment in this agreement with WAM encompasses expanded product development, sales, implementation and support, and complete integration of WAM's software suite into Honeywell's Collaborative Manufacturing Strategy.
Terry Sutter, president of Honeywell Industry Solutions, said, "We are very pleased to announce our strategic agreement with WAM Systems. WAM's proven supply chain planning solutions, specifically designed to meet the demands of multiplant and complex chemical and petrochemical supply chains, are perfectly targeted to address the complex decision-support needs of our customers. For the first time, chemical and petrochemical manufacturers will have a comprehensive business solution that is linked to realtime, plant-level execution systems and that offers visibility to internal operations and suppliers, trading partners, and customers."
The Business.FLEX Value Chain Management solution includes an integrated suite of supply chain decision-support applications used extensively by global chemical and petrochemical manufacturers. It provides an integrated set of strategic and tactical planning solutions that optimise all aspects of the supply chain, from sourcing through manufacturing, distribution, demand management, and trading partner collaboration.
