Alpine Instruments (Natal) has announced its appointment as the exclusive distributors of Danfoss flow products, motion control and flow, a division of Danfoss. The inclusion of the Danfoss flow products within the range of Alpine products provides a comprehensive solution for flow metering, covering a wide variety of applications, says Gideon Kruger, director, Alpine Instruments.
Danfoss offers great flexibility in its product range and is a market leader in Magflo electromagnetic flowmeters, Massflo coriolis mass flowmeters and Sonoflo ultrasonic flowmeters. One of many patented features of Danfoss flow products is a Sensorprom, which is used to store flowmeter calibration and 'fingerprint' data for correct start-up and future flow sensor performance verification conforming to the Danfoss continuous accuracy program (DCA). The Sensorprom automatically sends data to the converter when it is initialised. This eliminates manual programming which is associated with its own problems.
A Magflo verificator is also available which has the ability to carry out complex verifications and performance checks, according to unique Danfoss patented principles. A certificate can also be issued as proof of verification with current flow meter settings, serial numbers and the verificator version.
To ensure correct verification and traceability to national and international standards, the Magflo verificator is recalibrated on an annual basis in Danfos EN 45001 flow calibration laboratories.
