Using laser diode technology, the Observer EP 1000 dust monitor offers long life with a broad spectrum of measurement from mg to g/m3.
Operational problems encountered by other dust measurement devices such as optical misalignment, reflector fouling, poor response times and high costs of ownership are eliminated by the meter, which bases its measurement principle on laser beam retrodiffusion by dust particles.
The reflection of the laser beam provides for an instantaneous and reliable method of measurement. The instrument operates on the principle of backscatter and not energy absorption, therefore providing increased sensitivity (mg/Nm3-g/Nm3).
