16-channel analog input board has up to 1,6 MHz data rate
May 2002Maintenance, Test & Measurement, Calibration
The APCI-3003 allows high data transfer rates of up to 1,6 MHz for one channel or 400 KHz for four channels. It provides four, eight or 16 differential inputs, which are organised in blocks of four inputs each. Each block of four channels has its own A/D converter. All four blocks are optically isolated up to 500 V from each other, as are the PC and peripheral.
The data transfer rate can be configured freely for each block: from 100 KHz per channel when using four channels per block to 400 KHz when using one channel per block. When using all four blocks simultaneously in one-channel mode, a data transfer of up to 1,6 MHz can be achieved.
Several trigger functions permit the signals to be acquired independently from the PC: these can be acquired synchronously through a programmable timer. The signal acquisition also can be synchronised with a running process like pulse counting through an external trigger (one fast 24 V input channel per block). Several parameters can be configured by single acquisition as well as by programming a sequential acquisition.
The parameter's channel number, input range (unipolar, bipolar) and gain (1, x2, x5, x10) can be listed individually for each block. Sequential acquisition can be used with the PC DMA for long-time and time-oriented acquisition tasks: all read data is stored in the PC memory independently from the system.
The APCI-3003 is equipped with input filters and protected against over voltage (±40 V) and high-frequency EMI for a reliable use in industrial environment. Realtime drivers for Windows XP/2000/NT 4.0 as well as samples for C, Delphi, Visual Basic, LabVIEW, LabCVI... are delivered for free with the board. Linux drivers are also available on request.
