Automatic cross-sectional sampler for gold mines

Mitech's automatic cross-sectional Sampler is designed for use in high and low-grade consistency sampling applications in gold mines. Easy to install and maintain, it eliminates product spillage as well as human error in handling.
The sampler handles up to 1200 kPa line pressure, and is accurate, particularly on low grades where a high degree of accuracy is required. A water-flushing feature cleans the sampler after each cycle increasing operational life as well as reducing maintenance costs.
Compact in design, the sampler is pneumatically piston-actuated, with the actuator rated at 1000 kPa. Both the sampler's body shafts and pistons are made from 316 stainless steel, and there are separate sampling and flushing compartments for speedy operation. The sampler is suitable for use in 100-600 mm line sizes, and the product is gravity fed through the sampler tube for the full length of the stroke.
The sampler is installed on a low-grade residue line of 0,25 g gold per ton ore. Placed horizontally, on a vertical pipe section, it is wedged into the line via a front flange adapter. For high line pressure applications, the sample size required can efficiently be controlled by the installation of an orifice across the sampler intake section. Only the tube of the sampler is extended into the line when the actual sampling takes place. The sampling volume is two litres per sample.
