Bosch PLC training course in April

March 2002 Training & Education

Bosch Automation will be starting its first PLC training course for the CL150 range in April this year. Although the course is in line with the CL150 PLC launch in South Africa, it will give the students a general understanding of the PLC world.

The course will include concepts such as: binary code, analog activity, truth tables, timing diagrams, hard wiring, fault finding, binary conversions, I/O and much more. The course will also give the student a basic understanding of programming in WinSPS (the windows-based PLC programming software) and will include programming examples, with hands-on learning on their in-house demo systems.

The first course will commence on 8 April and end on the 13th, and the second course will commence the following week on 15 April and end on the 20th. Both are after-hours courses and will be from 18h00 until 20h00 in the evenings during the week and from 09h00 until 16h00 on the Saturday.

Included in the course is the official Bosch documentation on the CL 150, as well as a compiled tutorial booklet. On completion of the course the students will obtain an official Bosch Certificate and will be registered in Bosch's PLC-Technician database as being able to install and fault-find on a CL150.

The cost of the course will be R1500 excluding VAT and must be paid at least seven days before the course commences. Luxury commodities such as tea and biscuits or lunch are not provided, so as to permit the best price structure possible. There will be a 50% discount for students with a valid student card. The course will be held at Flexible Electronic Systems premises: 27 Forge Road, Spartan, Johannesburg.
