Finetek’s self-designed and manufactured electromagnetic flowmeter (EPD) has passed all critical tests and verifications during a six-month trial period. The EPD flowmeter is now approved by French-based LNE – one of the startup countries of OIML – to be the first such flowmeter from Taiwan to receive the R49 certification, as issued by OIML.
OIML represents the interests of the legal metrology community within international organisations and forums concerned with metrology, standardisation, testing, certification and accreditation. This organisation has provided a certification service for flow measuring instruments (R49) since 2003. In other words, Finetek’s EPD series (compact/remote models) has met the international standard for worldwide requirements.
The EPD is a high-accuracy flowmeter, manufactured using the latest technology. It is widely applied in pulp and paper, chemical, power, metallurgy, water treatment, pharmaceutical and food and beverage applications. It is suitable for any conductive liquid in an enclosed pipe, including thick fluids. Other features include:
• Measurement results are not affected by changes in liquid density, viscosity, temperature, and pressure.
• Unaffected by liquids that may contain fibre, granules or suspended particles.
• Wide measurement turndown ratio (1:100), which can be set to achieve high accuracy.
