Flow sensors for the water industry
August 2017
Flow Measurement & Control
Flow sensors are required in a wide range of industries for use in water and aqueous media in applications such as to control cooling circuits, compressors, pumps and heat exchangers, or for leak detection, dry-run protection of pumps and lubrication circuits.
Randburg-based ASSTech now offers the Jumo Pinos L01 flow sensor in an extensive range of nominal widths – DN 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 – as well as with different process connections made out of stainless steel or plastic.
Pinos works according to the calorimetric measuring principle. It distinguishes itself through simple, direction-independent mounting and easy operation. Configuration is via a micro USB interface with user-friendly setup program. Customer specific settings can also be made in the factory prior to shipment.
The measured value is issued via an analog output of 0(4) to 20 mA. The sensor can be used for a nominal pressure up to 75 bar and in an admissible flow velocity of 10 to 150 cm/s.
Due to its robust design with protection type IP65/67, the flow sensor can also be used in difficult environments. Reliable use in ambient temperatures between -25 and 70°C is guaranteed. The temperature of the measurement medium should be between -25 and 80°C.
