The new dissolved oxygen system from GLI International incorporates a sensor with a simple replaceable cartridge membrane, an air-blast self-cleaning assembly and a dual input analyser. The display is in ppm or % saturation and a 4-20 mA output signal for both DO and temperature is provided for each sensor. This system cuts maintenance costs and thereby significantly lowers the cost of ownership. The replaceable membrane cartridge is guaranteed for one year. If it fails for any reason (other than physical damage) it will be replaced free of charge. The entire sensor (excluding the membrane cartridge) carries a 30-month pro rata guarantee.
These DO sensors use three-electrode polarographic Ross cell technology and since the cell generates as much oxygen as it consumes, it is operating at equilibrium. Measurement at equilibrium minimises sensor maintenance and extends membrane cartridge life.
The software includes predictive and reactive diagnostics to assist operators and provides several calibration methods to suit specific applications requirements. Handrail or flotation mounting hardware is available to swing the sensor out of the process when necessary.
