SKF has signed a strategic co-operation agreement with Hanbell on jointly developing magnetic chiller centrifugal compressors.
Combining the centrifugal compressor with magnetic technology is a developing trend for the centrifugal compressor industry. The advantages of magnetic chiller technology include low energy consumption, high energy efficiency, environmentally friendly and low maintenance costs. SKF has advanced solutions and rich experience in magnetic technology, which reduces total cost of ownership, decreases 10-40% of energy consumption, improves equipment service life and increases reliability.
“This agreement further reinforces the co-operation we have with Hanbell and it shows that our bilateral co-operation has reached a higher level. To the co-operation we bring extensive experience in magnetic technology and we look forward to developing this market with Hanbell, which is an important player in the compressor market,” says Patrick Tong, president SKF China.
As the leader in twin-screw compressors, Hanbell has a substantial share of the refrigeration compressor market and has a long-term co-operation with SKF.
Hanbell plans to launch a range of magnetic centrifugal refrigeration compressor products in 2016.
