Elcometer Instruments of Manchester (represented by BAMR since 1948) is a world leader in coating thickness gauges and allied instruments in the corrosion and coatings industry, have several world firsts to their name, two Queens Awards for Export and ISO 9002 accreditation by Lloyds of London.
BAMR has recently introduced a new range of ISO-conforming coating thickness gauges to supersede its successful 345 CTG. The new model 456 is menu-driven, has a graphic display, improved accuracy and can perform a reading in under a second. It has 36 probe options making it suitable for essentially all applications. It also has 40 000 data point memory and software included for top models, and a choice of 12 languages.
BAMR has many more testing, detecting and analysing instruments suitable for all manner of wall and coating thickness and temperature measurements within the sphere of the corrosion and coating industry.
The company also offers service, repair and calibration of instruments with ISO 1% foils for coating thickness gauges (c/w certificates). Ground steel and aluminium plates available as well as steel calibration gauge blocks to 25 mm or higher if required c/w certificate. Most of the above instruments conform to ISO, BS, ASTM, DIN and SABS specifications as noncompliance could easily lead to costly reworking or repetitive maintenance.
