Mitech’s locally designed and manufactured globe control valves are capable of handling high pressures, high and low temperatures, a range of corrosive fluids and large pressure drops. The stainless steel valves can be fitted with electro-pneumatic positioners, special trims and a three-way 100 mm diverting valve to suit the application.
The trims utilise mechanisms that convert pressure directly into heat without passing through a region of low pressure and high velocity. This makes it possible to eliminate cavitation in liquids and substantially reduce noise levels in high pressure drop gas applications.
The piston actuator provides a combination of stiffness, good positioning accuracy, repeatability, controlled high speed and quick response. Its high working pressure allows a relatively small actuator to be shut off against higher fluid pressures than with the equivalent diaphragm type of actuator. Tight shut-off is ensured by the self-aligning seat ring and high actuator thrusts, and the open yoke area, top entry actuator and top entry clamped-in trim permit easy access for maintenance.
