Superior safety, gentle efficiency and uncompromising cleanliness are the hallmarks of Mitech’s hygienic valves. The locally designed and manufactured valves are cavity free, allowing them to be easily cleaned, and the mirror-polished surface discourages bacteria growth. The valves are ideal for CIP operation at temperatures up to 150°C in the food, brewing and medical industries.
Manufactured in 316 stainless steel, the valve body is offered in sizes from 25 to 100 mm, meeting ANSI # 150 or ND 16 requirements. Actuators are available with either a double acting or spring return mode with a field reversible fail closed or fail open action. The actuators are rated for 1000 kPa operation and have Buna N or Viton O-ring seals.
A choice of either an electro-pneumatic or pneumatic positioner is offered with a 4-20 mA or 20-100 kPa signal respectively. The positioners operate with air-to-open or air-to-close action. Split range and 4-20 mA feedback features are optional. The seal arrangement includes PTFE packing, guides and gaskets, while a special lower guide eliminates wasted space. If required, steam jackets are available to prevent the medium from coagulating.
