The new PT/PU pressure sensors from ifm electronic have a thin film measuring cell directly welded to the process connection. This technology guarantees high accuracy in a very compact housing with only 19 mm across flats at a cost-optimised price/performance ratio. The sensors generate a precise analog signal (PT = 4-20 mA, PU = 0-10 V) and perform well in any environment.
With an accuracy of <0,5 % and a repeatability of 0,05 %, the sensors also respond quickly thanks to a response time of only 1 ms. For installation, the series has a compact and robust stainless steel housing and connection is easy thanks to an M12 connector.
Without a seal in the process connection the sensors can be used not only in hydraulic applications but also in inert gases. The laser labelling on the housing is also advantageous because it ensures the sensor can be identified even after use in such areas. Furthermore, the units are distinguished by high vibration and shock resistance as well as protection ratings of IP67 or IP69K. Therefore they are suitable for universal use in almost all industrial areas. ifm offers a large portfolio of versions with different pressure and measuring ranges.
