Electrical Power & Protection

100 Watt DIN rail type security power supply

February 2015 Electrical Power & Protection

Mean Well’s DRC-40 and DRC-60 series, which are already in the market, have been widely utilised in the security field, receiving outstanding market feedback and positive customer evaluation. In order to fulfil the demands for higher power from the security industry, Mean Well has extended the wattage up to 100 W and is pleased to announce the DRC-100 series, suitable for industrial rail assembly inside cabinets. DRC-100 accepts 90-264 VAC input, offering 13,8 and 27,6 VDC output voltages for use with commonly used 12 and 24 V batteries. Users are thus able to build the security systems with DC UPS functionality, especially for applications which must be operated normally under AC power failure situations such as security systems, emergency lighting systems, alarm systems, DC UPS systems, central monitoring systems and access control systems.

Features

• High efficiency up to 89%.

• Fanless design, cooling by free air convection only.

• Operating temperature range -30 to 70°C.

• Alarm signal output: AC OK and battery low (via relay contact).

• Protection: short circuit, overload, over voltage, battery low cut off and battery reverse polarity (by fuse).

• Approvals: UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE.

• Dimensions (W x H x D): 55 x 90 x 100 mm.

• Three-year warranty.
