PCD-400A makes a PC a measuring instrument

November 2014 Industrial Computer Hardware

The sensor interface PCD-400A is an amplifier that can easily carry out measurements simply by connecting to a PC via the USB interface.

Directly connect the strain gauge output sensor to the input terminal and input adaptor on the back, then start the included dynamic data acquisition software (DCS-100A) to convert the PC to an amplifier.

Operation is fully interactive using the PC, and by connecting the sensor and carrying out a minimal amount of settings, it is possible to obtain data in a variety of engineering units with four channels of recording possible from a single sensor interface unit. Furthermore, connecting the units using a connection connector set enables expansion up to 4 units measuring 16 channels, meaning this is most suited to small-scale measurement.

The construction of a compact and highly versatile measurement system provides a tool for a range of situations, from simple experiments through to high-level measurement applications.
