LAND’s new range of SPOT R100 multi-mode thermometers sets a new standard for usability. These new standalone, non-contact infrared thermometers have advanced integrated processing capabilities. They utilise the latest technologies to make temperature measurement more accurate and easy for the operator to use than ever before.
The on-board processing capabilities mean that a separate signal processing device is not required. The precision optics use two independent wavelength measurements and there are multiple output formats. They have a wide measurement temperature range and temperature spans are easily configured.
There is a simple user interface for local setup and configuration. Parameters include spot size, focus distance, live target temperature, emissivity, alarms and measurement range. In addition, the instrument has an in-built visual camera to aid target alignment. Configuration can be local or it can be achieved remotely over the Internet via the dedicated web browser or SPOT Viewer software. The size and shape of the SPOT design means it can easily replace existing installed thermometers. The simplified installation and setup lead to reduced installation costs.
SPOT thermometers use a patented green LED for sighting to confirm spot size and focal length simply and accur-ately, so there are no laser safety issues. All SPOT thermometers offer a combination of Ethernet, Modbus TCP, video and analog (input and output) as standard. All the expected measurement parameters, including averaging, peak picking, mode master and background compensation are standard on all models.
