Sartorius balances for moisture detection

October 2013 Mass Measurement

Sartorius Mechatronics has refined its moisture analysis product line to cater for all areas of activity from laboratory analysis to on-line process control.

The MA150 is a combination of three previous models offering more power and flexibility. A weighing system with a weighing capacity of 150 g and 1 mg resolution shows increased weighing power. For simple, routine measurements, the MA35 is a compact entry level model and extremely easy to operate. The MA100 model is a step above the MA35 and offers top performance weighing results with an integrated analytical balance system. The MA150 is the first infrared dryer that features a built-in weighing system with 0,1 mg resolution. All three models comply with HACCP regulations.

If the sample contains high moisture content, microwave drying is the fastest, most effective method. In this range the Sartorius LMA200PM measures moisture content from 8 to 100% in a fraction of the time it takes for other thermo-gravimetric methods. The weighing capacity is 70 g and measuring accuracy is 0,00001 g.
