AST Africa saddles up

December 2012 News

Alien Systems & Technologies has announced its support and sponsorship of three South African show jumpers: Warrick Sithole, Isaac Sibanda and Amos Siriba.

Warrick, Isaac and Amos all work as grooms for top South African show jumper Nicola Sime at Sunny Park Stables. Under her guidance the three men learnt to ride and currently compete at graded shows in Gauteng. This year, two of the three received regional colours for their show jumping achievements and all three competed at the 2012 Avis South African Derby.

AST’s CEO, Paul Wright, says the company wants to support the achievements of these often under rated athletes: “AST prides itself on identifying talent in the work place and developing it, allowing our employees to reach their full potential. We have now decided to look further afield and offer support to Warrick, Isaac and Amos. Horse riding is an expensive sport, not only do you have to feed and maintain your horse but a horse rider’s basic attire is expensive too, and good instruction is vital as it can be a dangerous sport. We are hoping that with AST’s contribution, as well as with the continued support of Nicola Sime and Sunny Park Stables, these three men can improve even further on their current good form in the arena.”
