DirectLogic’s Do-more H2 CPUs take advantage of the industry-proven DL205 series hardware with over 50 compatible I/O modules and four base sizes. H2 offers about nine times the data memory and four times the program memory of the DL205 processors and users can allocate that memory the way they want it – no more rigid, predefined blocks of wasted space. The new fast CPU executes a 1k Boolean program in 0,2 ms, about 20x faster than the original DL205 processor.
H2 series CPUs have built-in serial and USB ports and one version also includes an Ethernet port. Optional extra serial and Ethernet ports can be added if it is required to connect bar code readers, scales, servo drives, etc. A new high-speed counter module has four independently configurable timer/counter channels (up to 250 kHz) and two pulse output generators (up to 250 kHz). All configuration and profile setup is now built in to the Do-more Designer software for easy integration with your other application logic. The system supports remote Ethernet I/O, up to 16 remote drops can be added to each H2-ERM master installed in the local rack.
The Do-more Designer software represents a clean break from the old DirectSOFT. It is a powerful, easy-to-use programming environment with all the features of modern PLC programming software:
* Flexible program management supports a mix of stage and ladder logic for a best-of-both-worlds approach that simplifies code and makes troubleshooting easier.
* Support for up to 2000 PID loops with auto-tuning and instruction-specific monitoring windows for alarm instructions.
* Spreadsheet style math instruction supports formulas, variables and nesting.
* Axis mode for motion.
* Enhanced security.
Enhanced troubleshooting tools enable tasks or programs to be suspended or stages disabled. Data can be trended in multiple views and the logger allows error messages to be logged directly to the Network Message Viewer on a PC to help get code up and running quickly. All project documentation is stored on the CPU for easy retrieval, users can also store their own PDF, HTML or other format files on-board to aid future troubleshooting efforts.
