Electrical pressure measurement

WIKA’s N-1X and E-1X non-incendive and explosion-proof transmitters are particularly useful in the oil & gas industry. The N-10 is intended for measurement on gas compressors and general industrial applications and is classified as Ex nA (non-sparking). The E-10, with its Ex d (flameproof enclosure) rating, is suited for wellhead monitoring, as well as refining and petrochemical applications. Both the E-10 and N-10 are available in a flush diaphragm version (E-11 and N-11). The IS-2X is intrinsically safe (Ex ia) and is intended for use in chemical and petrochemical applications and oil and gas refineries. It is also available with field casing & flush diaphragm.

Mechanical and mechatronic pressure measurement

WIKA models 213.53 and 213.40 with liquid filling are intended for adverse service conditions where pulsation or vibration exists. They are available in scale ranges 0-1000 bar and are rated Ex c (constructive safety). The PGT43.1x0 intelliGAUGE is rated Ex ia (instrinsic safety) is available in ranges from 0-16 mbar to 0-25 bar. The rugged design of the diaphragm measuring system produces a pointer rotation proportional to the pressure. An electronic angle encoder, proven in safety-critical automotive applications, determines the position of the pointer shaft – it is a non-contact sensor and therefore completely free from wear and friction. From this, the electrical output signal proportional to the pressure, eg, 4-20 mA, is produced. The electronic WIKA transmitter, integrated into the high-quality mechanical pressure gauge, combines the advantages of electrical signal transmission with those of a local mechanical display.
