Durag’s D-LX 100 compact flame monitor is designed for continuous, intermittent and 72-hour operation in a unit with the flame scanner and amplifier integrated into a compact housing. This greatly reduces overall cost and simplifies installation as additional costs normally required for mounting the control electronics in a service cabinet or separate housing are no longer applicable. D-LX 100 is the first system of its kind to meet current European flame monitoring standards.
After start-up, the D-LX 100 performs a self-test, which is repeated continuously during operation for continuous reliability. The flames radiation intensity is converted by a high sensitive semiconductor photo element into an electrical flame signal and only those signals that correspond to flame flickering are processed. The flame recognition threshold of the D-LX 100 can be adjusted in the field using a manual switch: the flame failure response time can be set to either 1, 3 or 5 s. The flame intensity signal is available as an analog output with status LEDs provided to assist operator fault diagnosis.
Designed for trouble-free service in an IP67 metal case, a choice of flame monitor types is available to adapt D-LX 100 to all significant burner types, fuels and firings. Applications include power stations, refineries, waste incinerators, steam generators and heating plants.
