The BM22 has been specially designed for operation in harsh environments. It is compact, rugged, equipped with a large flashing beacon, a loud audible alarm and offers long battery life. Designed for team protection or area surveillance, the BM22 can be equipped with an integral pump. The device is well suited for rescue teams, for mobile or short term work and areas where fixed detection systems are inappropriate or not present.

The BM22 can simultaneously detect from one to four gases. A library of 32 flammable gases are built into its memory and can be selected without having to recalibrate the instrument. The oxygen and toxic sensor modules are precalibrated, smart and interchangeable.

Reliable, safe and user-friendly, the BM22 initiates an auto-test procedure when switched on.

The casing is made of hard thermo-polyester with carbon fibre, making the BM22 suited to use in harsh and corrosive environments.

The BM22 may be used as a compact standalone instrument or can be interlinked to a central alarm unit. 'Central Guard' (up to four units may be linked together). A relay contact is built in to drive external devices. Equipped with a flashing red beacon (5 joules) and duplicate loud hooter (105 dB) it can be heard in a noisy environment. It has 50 h battery life. The battery pack can be replaced in classified area (i).

Up to 48 h data and 252 events can be logged, and this information can then be downloaded onto a PC or to a printer. Maintenance and operation software is also available.
