Temperature and humidity alarming on the move

February 2012 Data Acquisition & Telemetry

Data-logging and monitoring in real-time now with transport extension automated by testo Saveris.

Diversified for transport and mobile applications, the measurement data monitoring system testo now offers is a highly professional measurement and documentation solution with many different areas of application.

Saveris is an automated plug and play temperature and humidity recording system using wireless and/or Ethernet as communications medium. (For other parameters a 4-20 mA logger is available.) Saveris is designed to record, document and alarm (relay, sms, e-mail) on exceeded limit values. In addition to the existing measurement principle for stationary applications, the system can now be extended for monitoring temperature and humidity during transport of goods such as foodstuffs or pharmaceuticals.

During transport, probes transfer all measurement values and alarms wirelessly to a cockpit unit situated in the driver’s cabin and showing all relevant information on the display. Simultaneously, an infrared printer allows the printout of the measurement values at the site of the handover of goods. As soon as the probes come within range of the logging system, all measurement values are automatically logged and stored in the database.

The new Saveris software provides many additional functions. The tour management with calendar function, for example, provides high flexibility for planning different measurement tasks. The software is available in two different versions: Professional enables a detailed presentation of measurement value curves and tables. In addition, it offers further analysis functions for the recorded measurement data. 21 CFR-conform software allows the complete integration of the access concept into Windows user groups and CFR-conforming data storage with a serial number-secured database. CFR-conforming printouts are also possible. Both software versions generate secure PDF reports and can be created on demand or automatically daily, weekly and monthly.

The Saveris mobile data-logging system is now able to guarantee uninterrupted monitoring and control of processes from production and storage through transport and up to delivery.
