The ‘Programmable smart flow + temperature’ switches (models FL0004, FL0005) offer all-in-one monitoring where flow and temperature set-points are crucial in a process. The unit has integral temperature sensors which are used to communicate the temperature of a liquid or gas, as well as the flow status (flow/no flow). EMA incorporates accurate thermal diffusion technologies to determine the flow status of the medium and no moving part means that flow direction and position of the sensor does not matter.
Robust aluminium alloy housings and stainless steel wetted materials help ensure a long operating life and contributes to low running costs. Easy to set up, users can set the flow range and warning signals discretionarily via two programmable NPN or PNP outputs. One output for the temperature and one for flow relay process information to the plant operator; local indication, on the face of the unit assists in easy setting. The sensing temperature range is -25 to 80°C, flow sensing range for liquid is 3-300 and for gas 200-3000(cm/s).
