Using state-of-the-art measurement technology, E+E Elektronik’s user-friendly handheld Oilport 20 meter measures moisture in oil. It is available with a pressure-tight or short measuring probe. The robust housing allows use in harsh industrial environments.
A typical application of the Oilport is the measurement of moisture in mineral and synthetic transformer oil. It measures water activity (aw) and temperature (T), from which it calculates the water content in ppm. Calculation of water content in non-mineral transformer oils and lubrication oils can be accomplished by downloading the specific parameters of the oil.
It comes with a carrying case which can accommodate the measuring equipment as well as an optional calibration device. The accuracy of the measured values meets international standards administered by NIST, PTB and BEV. The meter has a HOLD/MIN/MAX/AVG readout and a real-time clock. Either SI or US units can be selected and it can be recalibrated by the user.
