The staff of global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric South Africa, dedicated its annual Schneider Electric social initiative week, named ‘Luli’, to collecting blankets, non-perishable items and clothing for those less fortunate. Luli is Schneider Electric’s worldwide mobilisation campaign that for one week every year puts the spotlight on local initiatives conducted by staff around the globe to support partnerships and local commitments.
2011 celebrates the tenth anniversary of Luli and saw the South African operation donate close on 800 items to those less fortunate. The donation was made via Oliver’s House, a section 18A approved public benefit organisation, to Zenzele informal settlement.
