MESA SA Conference 2011

August 2011 News

Planning for the annual MESA SA conference is currently underway with the conference scheduled to take place on 7 October at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways. This is a further call for papers to be considered for presentation under the conference theme ‘Innovation and flexibility in manufacturing execution’.

Please send an abstract (100-200 words) of your proposed title and topic to [email protected] or [email protected] by the end of July. The title and topic will be evaluated for innovation, thought leadership, business value, conformance to the theme and business interest. Only the best will be selected to go on to the next stage. First draft paper/presentation of approved abstracts will be due by end August for further review by the MESA SA evaluation committee. The committee will provide feedback and suggestions for improvement and pass this back to the author/presenter.

The organisers urge everyone to distribute this widely to clients and peers, so that all can share in the benefit of this event. The training and conference will go a long way towards persuading a client or company executive of the need for an MES/MOM system, whilst being completely vendor/technology agnostic.

Vendors, please approach clients that may be willing to talk about success stories in this environment and convince them to submit a paper for review and inclusion in our program.
