Stable and compact 24 V power supplies
June 2001
Electrical Power & Protection
Telemecanique by Schneider Electric is offering the Phaseo, its new range of regulated switchmode power supplies, which offer simplicity of use and compactness of size.
Phaseo, claimed to be the smallest range of power supplies on the market, with a standard height of 120 mm, clips onto a DIN rail for ease of mounting. For applications requiring long cable lengths and to ensure constant 24 V supply despite volt drop, the voltage output can be increased to a maximum of 28,8 V. This adjustment is carried out on the front face by simply turning a small potentiometer. Green and yellow LEDs on the front face enable quick and easy diagnostics at a glance. A transparent cover protects the front face, which is lockable.
The power supplies are electronically self-protected against overloads and short circuits. Also incorporated into them is undervoltage monitoring that guarantees a voltage above 19 V, so one can be certain that PLC inputs will not read incorrect data. Thanks to its wide voltage ranges, Phaseo functions wherever needed, even on poor quality electrical networks such as at the end of a line or on a generator unit.

Electrical Power & Protection
To listen to a symphony is one of the world’s great gifts. A conductor must ensure that instruments play beautifully as a whole and are kind to the ear and uplifting to the spirit yet shine in their individuality. The same can be said of a DERMS, which must effectively manage diverse energy sources to avoid compromising the grid’s integrity.
