Turck has introduced an integrated terminal chamber for its line of uprox+ sensors, which conforms to FDA requirements for wash down applications in the food and beverage industry such as dairies, breweries and bakeries. The terminal chamber includes removable terminals for quick and easy mounting, either by means of screws or by cage clamps. Furthermore, simply rotating the cover by 180° gives users the option of a straight or 90° cable exit.
The uprox+ line of factor 1 sensors detect all metals at the same rated distance and meet the requirements for food safe materials. The sensors are available in 12, 18 and 30 mm stainless steel barrels with a liquid crystal polymer front cap that is impermeable to cleaning agents, disinfectants and high pressure steam cleaning.
