Simple installation and easy-to-use monitoring systems integrated into bulk conveyors ensure that goods keep running on track.

By using switches connected to a roller constantly sweeping the conveyor belt, the switches can be triggered in a series should the belt become misaligned on its mountings. If the belt skewed just slightly, it would trigger the first switch and a signal could be sent to the control room where an audible or visible alert could be initiated. Should the belt skew further, the second switch takes direct control and stops the system by switching the belt off, thereby minimising any resulting damage.

The second switch could also be used to trigger a belt correct function, returning the belt to its correct central position on the drive and deflector rollers. The safety switch range offered by AT Technical Services for this purpose is diverse and capable in the toughest, most corrosive environments. Versions are also available for use in explosive areas.
