The latest production solution from Leuze, the GS 61 sensor, offers more power in a smaller design coupled with a considerable performance improvement over previous models. This new series of optical forked photoelectric sensors is characterised by reduced height allowing greater flexibility and placement directly at the front of the dispensing edge of a system. The core features are greater accuracy and reliability with the ability to respond faster and more directly to irregularities or errors, increasing user productivity.
Optical fork sensors are used for label detection in packaging and printing industries, and are an easy-to-apply and cost effective method for small part detection and counting in a wide range of other applications.
The Leuze GS 61 optical forked photoelectric sensor complements the successful Leuze GSU 14B and Leuze IGSU 14B ultrasonic forked ranges to create an outstanding performance portfolio. The latter are designed for the detection of non-transparent labels and with their 3 mm wide fork widths can be used for a wide range of applications, including the processing of booklets or folded labels. Both devices feature a new slim line design with a lower flat fork that enables simple installation directly at the dispensing edge, ideal for situations with limited space.
