NewElec’s KD and KE electronic motor protection relays are designed for conveyor, compressor, crusher, fan and pump motor protection and boast a wide range of user-selectable protection features.
Easy to setup via a man-to-machine interface or via computer with free setup software, the user-selectable settings are easy to work with. Thermal overload, earth insulation lockout, earth leakage and short-circuit protection, along with frequency and power factor measurement, are some of the features which, combined with the 2000 event records and 60 last fault records, give this protection relay its versatile functionality.
Power measurement provides real-time power utilisation as well as power consumption monitoring over extended periods. All features and information can be accessed through an external Profibus communication unit.
KD/KE relays also provide protection against locked rotor, running stall protection, earth leakage, over/under voltage detection and phase rotation. The KD relay provides full load current, minimum load and minimum load reset done on the front panel, while all settings on the KE are done via software.
Accessories include a door mounted KD-FLED unit for indication, a remote programming unit and a portable HMI with infrared link.
