Advantech’s USB-4711 is a USB-based multifunctional I/O module, which eliminates the need to open a chassis to install a data acquisition device. The unit features a 100 kilo-sample/sec 12-bit A/D converter with an on-board sample buffer. It can provide up to 16-single ended A/D input channels, two 12-bit D/A output channels, eight digital inputs, eight digital outputs and one event counter.

Other features include the USB 2.0 interface, on-board screw terminals for wiring, Windows driver and ActiveX and LabVIEW driver support. USB-4711 is reliable and rugged enough for industrial applications as well as home projects and is perfect for adding measurement and control capabilities to any computer. It is suitable for portable data acquisition and industrial automation applications and does not require an external power supply.
