IFM Electronic's SA range of flow monitors is capable of analog or digital flow monitoring. The type SA 1000/1003 supply a 4-20 mA output signal proportional to the flow rate. The LED bar display incorporated in the unit indicates either cm/s for the SA 1000 or l/min for the SA 1003.
The monitors are installed at a fixed depth in pipes of varying diameter by means of a mounting bush. Flow rates of 0 to 10, 0 to 20 and 0 to 40 l/min can be monitored, depending on which T-piece is used. Two switchpoints on the sensors can be independently programmed to maintain flow within a minimum or maximum rate, or for an early warning signal in addition to an alarm. An electronic lock prevents unwanted tampering with the setpoints.
Multicoloured LEDs indicate the operational status and programming is via pushbuttons. Operating voltage is 20-28 V d.c. and connection is via a M12 four-pin connector. IFM Electronic is represented locally by Shorrock Automation.
