Improved 3-way ball valve

February 2010 Valves, Actuators & Pump Control

Royce Water Systems introduces the new Georg Fischer

3-way ball valve type 543.

The new Georg Fischer 543 is the ideal valve for demanding mixing and diverting processes. It is available in the dimensions DN10 to DN50 and provides quality, flexibility and reliability.

Safety aspects include enhanced buttress threads on all threaded plastic components. The advantages of this are 50% better coverage of the thread flanks, no radial force components due to contact of the vertical flanks in the loading direction, and maximum protection against the union nut loosening and jumping off in case of water hammer.

The lockable handle is made of robust PPGF and contains the tool for adjusting the union bushes. Furthermore, the optionally available multifunctional handle incorporates a lockable function, thus preventing unauthorised use. It also includes 45° increment indexing which allows for a precise and secure 45° positioning of the ball.

The new 90° position stop enables using the lever in defined positions of 90°. The specially designed housing of the ball valve enables placement in various positions by means of a clip on ring.

The horizontal version is available with either L or T-bore ball configurations. It is available in PVC-U, PVC-C, ABS, PP-H and PVDF, manual, electric and pneumatic actuated. The vertical version which has a standard metric solvent cement spigot as the third outlet is available in PVC-U and ABS. Besides the L-bore ball configuration, a diverter ball is also available.

The manual version of the 3-way ball valve can be easily actuated with an available assembly kit.
