Ircon, a world leader in infrared (IR) noncontact temperature measurement, has introduced the Modline 6 Series of infrared thermometers. The new range of high performance sensors features advanced signal processing and background-reflected energy compensation capabilities, and includes one and two colour fibre optic IR devices designed for operation in harsh environments.
The thermometers incorporate state of the art electro-optics that compensates for background reflected energy. This and other features are accessed via the Multidrop support software for remote sensor configuration, data acquisition, display and archiving. The software is supplied free of charge and includes demonstration tutorials that guide users through the setup of the signal processing and programmable relay functions.
Proprietary electronics supports other features including two way serial communications, remote sensor setup and configuration and realtime display of target temperature. The thermometers use high-speed digital signal processors with an RS485 serial data communications networking capability that supports up to 32 sensors.
The rugged Modline 6 Series thermometers offer value in terms of price, performance, features and ease of use in a variety of demanding industrial applications, including metal heat treating, steel production, foundries, and primary and secondary glass.
